Introduction to Crimestoppers and Fearless

I am writing from Fearless.org to tell you about our free training programme available for your volunteers.

Fearless.org is the youth service of the charity Crimestoppers, offering a unique online service where young people can report crime 100% anonymously. We do not need their name, address or any personal details – we just receive their information about crime and pass it to the police as intelligence to be acted upon. This can afford much-needed confidence to those who are otherwise too afraid to talk to the police.

Unfortunately, many young people fall victim to heinous crimes and we see it as our responsibility to empower young people to make an informed decision about crime. We offer workshops and assemblies, training for volunteers and free resources on current crime trends such as County Lines, Knife Crime and Drug Crime. South Wales Police and Newport and Cardiff Council are keen supporters of this programme and it is hoped to reach as many young people in Cardiff and Newport with our message as possible!

We know that within your line of work your volunteers interact directly with young people who experience these crimes. Therefore, we would like to offer free workshops and training.

• Includes an introduction to Crimestoppers and Fearless
• How our service works and how to refer it to your young people
• Opportunity to become a Crimestoppers and Fearless Ambassador
• Introduction and access to our free educational resources
• You can also choose extend your session to receive further training on:
  • County Lines
  • Drug Crime
  • Knife Crime
  • Hate Crime
