Following the success of the 1st Area Caving Day last term, we’re looking to put another one on at the end of April – Saturday 23rd.
Before we advertise places for Scouts, I’d like to make sure that we have enough adult support.
We have plenty of cave leaders but we’re looking for some additional support roles.
Last time we had morning and afternoon sessions with the minibuses running back and fore in between. I’d like to streamline this a little this time. The plan is to have everyone arrive at the same time and to split the group in half. While half are caving, the other half will be doing some gentle walking.
We’re looking for 3 minibus drivers plus another 3 volunteers so that we have 2 adults on each bus.
At least 4 of these volunteers will need to be comfortable leading a group of Scouts on a simple Terrain 0 walk while the other half are caving.
Please respond ASAP to let me know if you can help.
Thanks
