As we come to the season of Annual General Meetings, now is the time for groups and districts to ensure that they have moved to having a Trustee Board rather than an Executive Committee and make the changes to bring us in line with the good practice guidance set by charity regulators.
At your AGM you should adopted the model constitution set out in chapter 5 of Policy Organisation and Rules and also make sure all the trustees are recorded on Compass. If you are a registered charity all your trustees must be recorded with the Charity Commission.
Further information about the move to Trustee Boards can be found on the Scout Association website Moving To Trustee Boards | Scouts. There is also some useful supporting guidance on the Trustee Boards | Scouts website including an agenda and script for the AGM
